Around two thousand far-right protesters marched through the central Polish city of Plock against a pro-refugee policy and the alleged Islamisation of Poland, Sunday. Footage shows protesters marching through Plock with Polish flags and anti-Islam banners, and ending up at the city hall. Kryztof Piotrowski, from the All Polish Youth organisation said that he and his followers are "not fascists or xenophobes," but "Poles who are concerned about our country, our family and our safety," during a short speech to the crowd. Tomasz Kalinowski, another speaker at the event and member of the National Radical Camp, blamed the United States for the fact that Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS, ISIL) exist in Syria and Iraq. The march took place despite the fact that Polish Prime Minister Ewa Kopacz spoke in solidarity with refugees at an extraordinary session of parliament held on the matter on September 16. In July, thousands of people protested against the Polish government's decision to accept 2,000 refugees from Syria and North Africa by 2017.
