UK: WADA urges further suspensions if additional 'code breaches' verified

World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) president Sir Craig Reedie said he hoped other sports federations would be suspended from international competition if found guilty of "code breaches," as the Russian Athletics Federation has been.
Speaking from London on Monday, Reedie referenced the decision to suspend Russian track and field athletes from international competition. The International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) recently upheld the suspension, which will see athletes banned from competing in the Rio Olympics under the Russian flag.
Reedie attended the 13th Media Symposium in London earlier in the day at which he announced that an investigation was underway into allegations of doping among Russian and Chinese swimmers.
The suspension of Russian track and field athletes came into force in November 2015 after the country allegedly failed to meet standards set by the IAAF.
