Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola appeared both pleased and disappointed with his team's performance after their last-minute 3-2 comeback victory over Schalke 04, while speaking to the press in Gelsenkirchen on Wednesday following the match.
"The result is incredible good, three goals away is good, but we gave the first goal, we gave the second one and we gave the red card, so on that level we don't have a chance to, we are not ready to fight for the Champions League," he said.
"I will learn of that, every stage is more difficult and you have to try improve it,' The Man City manager added.
Commenting on the outcome of the game, Schalke 04 manager Domenico Tedesco said that he was "obviously very disappointed."
Afterwards, Schalke player Daniel Caliguri said the loss was "really painful" but that "we are proud that we held so well against one of the world's best teams."
