Footage released on Monday shows the aftermath of shelling launched by anti-government militants, which killed at least seven children and injured 32 people in western Aleppo, on Sunday.
A young victim of shelling explained, "We were having a lesson… Suddenly the shell hit here, and the floor was covered in blood."
Another woman, who also witnessed the shelling said that the attack came "from the side of the window" killing one pupil and leaving a teacher seriously injured. She added, "Next to the teacher was a girl named Zainab. She died. A teacher lost her leg."
Aleppo is facing some of the fiercest battles it has seen since the beginning of the conflict, following the collapse of the ceasefire. Medical groups and human rights activists have highlighted the plight of the residents as the war continues with renewed intensity in the city.
