NTSB: No Sign Amtrak Engineer Was Talking or Texting

Federal investigators looking into the crash of an Amtrak train last month said Wednesday, there was no indication the engineer was talking on his phone or texting. The National Transportation Safety Board said,
Amtrak records also show that the engineer, Brandon Bostian, did not access the train's Wi-Fi system while he was operating the locomotive.
Eight people were killed and more than 200 injured when the train derailed on its way from Washington to New York on May 12. Investigators have said the train took a 50 mph curve at 106 mph.
