Greek Ministers and Syriza members left the Presidential Office in Athens, Tuesday, as Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras continues to hold internal negotiations over the proposed Greek bailout programme. Deputy Minister of State for Coordinating Government Operations Terence Quick, Minister of Economy, Infrastructure, Shipping and Tourism Giorgos Stathakis, Minister of the Interior and Administrative Reconstruction Nikos Voutsis and Syriza parliamentary spokesman Nikos Filis were just some of the ministers to exit Maximos Mansions following talks. Political tensions in Athens continue to simmer after Tsipras and his fellow Eurogroup members hashed out a deal on Greece's bailout programme, Monday, considered to involve more severe austerity measures than a deal offered to Syriza five months ago. With in-fighting reported within Syriza, hints of a reshuffle and even talk of the resignation of Tsipras have abounded in the press. The Greek leader must pass legislation by Wednesday night to ensure the planned deal with Greece's creditors goes through. The new agreement comes just over a week after the Greek people rejected the demands of creditors in a national referendum, a draft statement released on Sunday 12 indicates the scale of the demands of the creditors. These demands include: the full implementation of automatic spending cuts, including pension reforms and other austerity measures. Moreover, they require the Syriza government to align its legislative agenda with institutions, removing legislation that breaks with the strict spending plans.
