British billionaire and founder of Virgin Sir Richard Branson discussed politics and entrepreneurship in Munich on Monday, at a conference called Bits & Pretzels, a three day event for start ups and investors which runs during Oktoberfest.
During the event, which hosted 5000 visitors, Branson talked about the migration crisis and the rise of the right-wing in Europe, stating, "I hope rational, sane politics will win through, but it is up to all of us in this room to try to make that happen. The extreme parties, I think are terrifying and that is the last thing any of us want to see happen. Well I hope any of us want to see it happen."
On the theme of entrepreneurship he stated, "If you are a real entrepreneur, there is going to be lots of things that you are going to miss, there are going to be lots. I never look back at my mistakes generally. Then we just move forward move forward and I have got no real regrets to be honest, I am very lucky."
Richard Branson came dressed in traditional Bavarian Lederhosen and was met with by a standing ovation from admirers.
