Russian photographer Mikhail Korostelev locked himself in a cage near the Kurilskoe Lake in Kamchatka throughout August to capture close-up photographs of Kamchatka bears while they hunted for fish. The Russian photographer also used a drone to capture aerial images of the bears while they were hunting. Korostelev captured the unique footage of the bears in their natural habitat on the banks of the Kurilskoe Lake in the South-Kamchatka Nature and Wildlife Reserve, a place well-known for its bear population. The Russian photographer had previously spent time in a cage underwater photographing other animals such as sharks, crocodiles, sea lions, manatees and elephants before he moved on to bears. The South-Kamchatka Nature and Wildlife Reserve was declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1996.
