Second New York Prison Escapee Has Been Caught

David Sweat, one of two inmates who escaped from an upstate New York prison several weeks ago, was caught on Sunday, according to multiple reports. The other inmate, Richard Matt, was shot and killed by officials on Friday. Sweat was reportedly shot and apprehended near Constable, New York, around five miles north of Malone, New York, near where Matt was shot and killed on Friday, and just three miles south of the Canadian border. Constable is around 32 miles northwest of the prison from which the pair escaped. Sweat is reportedly being taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
