Cuban President Raul Castro met Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi in Rome, Sunday, after he visited Pope Francis in Vatican City. Castro discussed American intentions to re-establish relations with Cuba, asking for a removal of Cuba from the list of state sponsors of terrorism applied by the United States. The Cuban leader called for the US Congress to "answer" US President Barack Obama's call for a review of Cuba's status, but fears that Congress will block the decision, due to the Democrat's minority. Obama announced his will for a diplomatic rapprochement between Cuba and the United States, with the intention to remove the embargo against Cuba entirely. Obama and Castro met on April 11 for the first meeting between the leaders of the two countries in over fifty years.
