Residents were filmed feeding monkeys in the Thai city of Lopburi on Tuesday, as tourist numbers fell dramatically due to the coronavirus pandemic.
A video of monkeys brawling for food in Lopburi went viral in mid-March after animals, accustomed to being fed by tourists, developed aggressive behaviour.
Lopburi is a popular tourist destination about 150 km northeast of Bangkok, best known for its crab-eating macaques living on the streets.
Thailand registered 2,258 confirmed cases of COVID-19 coronavirus and 27 deaths, according to Johns Hopkins University.
