Around 10,000 people marched in central Bucharest, Sunday, to commemorate the 27 victims killed after an explosion and fire ripped through a local nightclub in the Romanian capital on Friday night. At least 27 people were killed and over 180 injured in the blast, which was caused by stage pyrotechnics during a Halloween rock concert at the city's Colectiv Club venue. Over 300 people were inside the venue when stage pyrotechnics allegedly set a pair of foam-insulated columns on fire. The crowd had only one exit to escape, triggering a stampede. Once the door was opened, the venue filled with oxygen, causing the fire to worsen. The band who was performing at the event, Goodbye to Gravity, lost two guitarists in the blaze. Deputy Interior Minister Raed Arafat said 17 of the 27 dead had still not been identified. Romania's government has declared a three-day national mourning period.
