SOT, Nurse (Italian): "I have been working here [Pio Albergo Trivulzio] for several years. The situation isn't good. They've covered everything up. There were even four people who came including a female doctor who terrorised us saying we didn't have to use masks."

SOT, Nurse (Italian): "They are making us work without protection. We don't know if we are infected or healthy, we don't know how many inside are infected. Our colleagues are collapsing like candles but this isn't talked about. Why?"
C/U Banner reading: "We ware thanking all the medical personnel"
SOT, Nurse (Italian): "I have my own personal mask. I came to work, they took my name, surname and registry number down because I shouldn't be wearing masks. Otherwise, it creates panic among the patients and the relatives of patients because they are still coming to visit."

SOT, Nurse (Italian): "There isn't any red, white, black, green anymore. We are defending everyone, we are all ganged up. The working relationship among us is good but some leave when unfortunately they can't take the threats anymore."

SOT, Relative of deceased patient (Italian): "We came here because at 8:30, my wife's uncle died. He had been hospitalised here for three years and basically he was among the healthiest patients. However, in the last 10 days, he started having a strong fever and three days later they told us he was in critical condition. But he had no prior health issues. He was 89 years old."

A Milan nursing home and hospital has come under heavy criticism for its management of the coronavirus crisis, with one nurse saying staff is told not to wear masks so as not to "create panic among the patients," on Tuesday.
"They are making us work without protection," said the nurse who's worked at Pio Albergo Trivulzio for years. "I have my own personal mask. I came to work, they took my name, surname and registry number down because I shouldn't be wearing masks. Otherwise, it creates panic among the patients and the relatives of patients."
Last month, a total of 70 patients died at the facility and another 30 since the beginning of April, prompting an investigation from the prosecutor's office in Milan.
A relative of a patient being treated at the hospital said, "When I initially came here, my father was being treated at another facility. I already couldn't go inside, they were taking precautions. Here, they are letting everyone inside."
Italy is one of the worst-hit countries in Europe with over 135,000 confirmed cases of the coronavirus and the highest death toll in the world with 17,000 people having died with the virus as of Tuesday.
