Footage from Nagano on Monday, captured the damage in the city after the Chikuma River burst its banks following Typhoon Hagibis, that made landfall on Japan's Honshu island on October 12.
Scores of vehicles can be seen damaged in the floods with many overturned in the muddy flood waters, as helicopters were flying above the area. Police and rescue workers were also lending assistance and helping to assess the damage in the area.
Tens of thousands of rescue workers were reportedly dispatched to help clear up the damage caused by Typhoon Hagibis that reportedly killed at least 35 people, with some 14,000 homes left without running water and 376,000 without power.
