Footage released on Sunday shows emergency operations to clear the debris after the collapse of the building of Saint Petersburg's National Research University of Information Technologies, Mechanics and Optics (ITMO).
"Now, right after The Investigative Committee stops their work, we will start. At first, we will strengthen ceilings with props and then will take away all the hanging and threatening constructions and then will start clearing debris." - Russian Minister of Emergency Operations Evgenii Zinichev said.
According to Russia's Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM), three floors of the ITMO building collapsed while lectures were in progress inside the university on Saturday. No one was injured in the incident, and at least 86 people were evacuated.
Russia's Investigative Committee has launched a criminal investigation into the causes behind the collapse.
