SOT, Behrouz Kamalvandi, Atomic Energy Organisation of Iran (AEOI) Spokesperson (Farsi): "Today the countdown has started, and in ten days, on June 27, we will pass the 300kg limit [of enriched uranium], as I mentioned."

SOT, Behrouz Kamalvandi, Atomic Energy Organisation of Iran (AEOI) Spokesperson (Farsi): "We said that we had an agreement in order not to have more than 300kg of UF6, 3.67 percent of enriched uranium, and we postponed it. It means that, as I said, we start the countdown today, and we will pass the limit of 300kg in ten days, on June 27. Hence, we will have an increase after that, and the speed of production will significantly increase."

SOT, Behrouz Kamalvandi, Atomic Energy Organisation of Iran (AEOI) Spokesperson (Farsi): "I would like to mention a point, especially for the Europeans, that if our action at the first stage consumed a lot of time, the next action, especially going beyond a 3.67 percentage, will take no time. We asked our experts, and we were told it would take around one or two days. It means if they are supposed to take an action within the 60-day deadline, they should not think that they will have another 60-day deadline after these 60 days. Meanwhile, Iran's reserves have been increasing day by day."

SOT, Behrouz Kamalvandi, Atomic Energy Organisation of Iran (AEOI) Spokesperson (Farsi): "It is also an important test for Europe if Europe has more delay, then it will mean two things - the first is that Europe does not want to carry out its commitments and it is somehow beside the US, which they do not state explicitly, saying that the JCPOA is very important to them, and the second thing is that this delay takes place because they are not able to do it. If you are not able to do it, we are facing a weak creature, and we should plan based on it. Furthermore, it will also have negative consequences for them to let a country, no matter how powerful, decide for them."

Spokesperson for Iran's Atomic Energy Organisation (AEOI), Behrouz Kamalvandi, said that the country would exceed the allowed uranium stockpile limit, mandated by the 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) nuclear deal, in "ten days."
Speaking at a press conference in the Iranian city of Arak on Monday, Kamalvandi said, "Today the countdown has started, and in ten days, on June 27, we will pass the 300kg limit [of enriched uranium]."
Kamalvandi called on the remaining signatories to the JCPOA to "take an action" with the 60-day deadline set by Tehran last month.
He said, "It means if they are supposed to take an action within the 60-day deadline, they should not think that they will have another 60-day deadline after these 60 days. Meanwhile, Iran's reserves have been increasing day by day."
Tehran's decision to increase uranium production is part of its measures to reduce commitments to the nuclear accord following Washington's unilateral withdrawal from the deal and reinstatement of sanctions against Iran.
