13.02.2016
Russian Prime Minister Dmitri Medvedev met with Slovenian President Borut Pahor on the side-lines of the 52nd Munich Conference on Saturday, with Pahor calling for the Western states and the international community to work together with Russia on “the most topical issues.”
The pair discussed bilateral relations, with Pahor stressing that despite his country EU and NATO membership, Russia and Slovenia had a ‘friendly’ relationship.
The 52nd MSC kicked off at the Hotel Bayerischer Hof in central Munich on Friday and runs until Sunday, February 14. Up to 600 international senior policymakers, including 30 heads of state and government, and 70 foreign and defence ministers are expected to attend. The refugee crisis, the conflict in Syria and the ability of the European Union to guarantee security are expected to top the agenda at this year's conference.
