Nicaragua: Incumbent Daniel Ortega casts vote in presidential elections

Incumbent Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega headed to a polling station in Managua, as the country voted in presidential elections, Sunday.
Polls indicate that 70-year-old Ortega from the Sandinista National Liberation Front (FSLN) party, will be re-elected, giving him a third term in power. If victorious, Ortega’s wife Rosario Murillo will be elected as the country’s vice president.
As well as presidential elections, Nicaraguans will also vote for deputies for the country’s parliament and the Central American parliament.
According to figures from the Supreme Electoral Council, an estimated 3.8 million Nicaraguan citizens are entitled to vote.
