Vatican Orders Former Archbishop to Stand Trial

A Vatican prosecutor has ordered a former Roman Catholic archbishop to stand trial. Jozef Wesolowski is accused of paying for sex with children when he was a papal ambassador in the Dominican Republic and of possessing child pornographic material. He is a Pole who had was defrocked, last year after he became the first person to be arrested inside the Vatican on paedophilia charges. In a statement, the Vatican said Wesolowski will have his first hearing July 11.
