Footage filmed from the village of Barisha in Syria's Idlib Governorate on Sunday, shows the aftermath of a reported US special forces operation, which led to the killing of the leader of the self-proclaimed Islamic State (IS; formerly ISIS/ISIL) Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, according to an announcement by US President Donald Trump.
Some of the local residents were seen working on clearing debris and other observing the destruction at the site of the US reported operation.
On Sunday, US President Donald Trump announced that the leader of the self-proclaimed Islamic State (IS; formerly ISIS/ISIL) Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi has been killed in an operation led by US special forces. According to Trump's announcement, Baghdadi blew himself up with an explosives vest, after reaching a dead-end tunnel while attempting to flee.
