Chile: Lima Group demands foreign intelligence and military forces leave Venezuela

The Lima Group on Monday rejected any military interventions in Venezuela and implored foreign intelligence services, security and military forces to leave the country.
Chilean Minister of Foreign Affairs Roberto Ampuero clarified the regional bloc’s standpoint on the Latin American country while calling on Russia, China, Cuba and Turkey to "favour the transition and restoration of democracy in Venezuela."
"The Lima Group condemns foreign interference and demands the immediate withdrawal of intelligence services, security and military forces," added Ampuero.
The bloc’s statement came after the Lima Group’s ministerial meeting in the Chilean capital.
