SOT, Juergen Klopp, Liverpool manager: "To be 100 percent honest, I have no clue about his position really. That's it. Because it's not important what you are writing it's important what the board is telling him, what Ed Woodward is telling him, what the Glazer family is telling him. I have no clue. Nothing. I have no opinion on that, I want every manager to get as much time as they can to bring through their ideas and stuff like this but you never can compare situations. The situation when I came in to their situation now. Listen, Manchester United are a massive club, it's a massive club and nobody is really ready to wait for success. And it was in my case no different. If you were to ask after the first 29 games who are in the room who are more often here than you are from Norway, I don't think there will have been a 100 percent agreement that I was the perfect manager for Liverpool after 29 games. But that's how it is, that's the situation and we have to live with that, he has to live with that. If there is any doubt internally that would be bad. As long as it's only externally, that's not important really."

SOT, Juergen Klopp, Liverpool manager: "I never really struggled with confidence to be honest. I don't know for what reason. So I'm not sure how I'm never before a game, that's how it is. I'm quite optimistic that we have a chance, that's pretty much what we have before every other game as well. History in this case is not very important, but it gives it for sure a little sign because we like to create and use atmosphere in our stadium at Anfield which is incredibly helpful. But Old Trafford isn't too bad as well in that department. So they're on their toes, they're ready, they said it. They said we are the perfect opponent right now. You can see it like this, of course. But you don't have to. I don't think there are a lot of teams who would love to play against us right now, it looks like Manchester United are the only team who want to play us and we have to make sure that is a misunderstanding. But it's just normal, I would do the same, exactly the same is the situation was the other way round. Yeah, this is the game where we can change the world; this is exactly how I would prepare it so why shouldn't Ole do that? And I can see that. But our history and our stats? It has absolutely nothing to do with that."

Liverpool manager Juergen Klopp addressed the press ahead of his side's derby against Manchester United this weekend, at Melwood on Friday, saying his situation cannot be compared to that of his opposite number Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The Norwegian has endured a tumultuous few months as the permanent Manchester United manager with just eight points from nine league games so far, as pundits and fans have been asking whether he could be fired.
Klopp's Liverpool, by contrast, are flying high with a 100 percent record in the league and an eight-point cushion over their nearest rivals, Manchester City.
"It's important what the board is telling him, what Ed Woodward is telling him, what the Glazer family is telling him," Klopp said. "I want every manager to get as much time as they can to bring through their ideas and stuff like this, but you never can compare situations."
Looking towards the game, Klopp said he was not short of confidence but that games against United were always different.
"I don't think there are a lot of teams who would love to play against us right now, it looks like Manchester United are the only team who want to play us," Klopp said.
Kick-off is scheduled for 15:30 GMT at Old Trafford on Sunday.
