German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier expressed his condolences with the victims of "terrorist attack on innocent people in France, Tunisia and Kuwait," at a press conference in Berlin on Saturday. The German minister went on, stating that "horror of terrorism concerns all of us." At least 39 people were killed - including British, Belgian and German tourists - and 36 left injured when a gunman opened fire on a beach near the Imperial Marhaba hotel in the Tunisian resort town of Sousse, on Friday. Tunisian officials stated that security forces shot and killed the gunman, identified as 23-year-old Saifeddine Rezgui, who was not known to authorities prior to the attack. The Saint-Quentin-Fallavie factory in Eastern France witnessed an attack on Friday that saw one person decapitated and at least two others left injured after a man rammed a vehicle into gas containers, causing an explosion, before then beheading an employee believed to be the attacker's boss. The assailant is purported to have been waving an 'Islamic' flag when he entered the compound in his vehicle. Police have identified and arrested a 35-year-old suspect named Yassin Salhi. In Kuwait a Shia mosque was bombed in the al-Sawaber district, also on Friday. The bombing was during Ramadan prayers, when the mosque was close to capacity with close to 2,000 worshippers estimated present. According to medical authorities, at least 25 people have been confirmed dead and 208 injured - although the number of causalities cannot be confirmed at this stage. The extent of the coordination of the three attacks is currently unknown.
