*CUTAWAY*
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said it was obvious that Russia didn't meddle in US elections, during a press meeting with Surinamese Foreign Minister in Moscow on Tuesday.
The top diplomat noted that he followed reports about the ongoing investigation "with sufficient scepticism and with a sense of loss of interest."
He also added that "arbitrary accusations do not do any credit to those who created this mess and in my opinion do not know how to get out of it."
Sergei Lavrov also gave his take on Google’s research about Russian influence on the US elections: "I heard that Google was required to investigate [about manipulation of RT and YouTube]. These charges were put forward for Google to confirm or deny them. Google denied them. And literally today I received a message that it was neither Russia Today nor any other Russian structure that abused Google, including YouTube during, among others, the presidential elections in the US last year."
