Kazakhstan: Expedition 49/50 launches in Baikonur, bound for International Space Station

A Soyuz-MS 02 spacecraft launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan, Wednesday, bound for the International Space Station. The spacecraft is carrying Russian cosmonauts Sergey Ryzhikov and Andrei Borisenko, along with US astronaut Shane Kimbrough.
Kimbrough, Ryzhikov, and Borisenko will spend around four months aboard the ISS, eventually joined by three more astronauts, before returning to Earth in late February.
During their mission, the astronauts will continue to conduct experiments in biology, biotechnology, physical science and Earth science.
