President of Boeing Russia/CIS Sergei Kravchenko touted cooperation between Russia and the USA in running the International Space Station (ISS), at the MAKS-2015 air show taking place in the Zhukovski Airfield in the Moscow region on Tuesday. He said it was a good sign that "despite very unfortunate political disagreements" between the Russian and USA governments, the ISS "still flies very high on the orbit" to promote science and civil space exploration. The International Aviation and Space Salon, known as MAKS-2015, kicked off Tuesday at the Zhukovski Airfield. It is one of the largest air shows in the world with over 400,000 people expected to attend the event. The air show showcases Russia’s aircraft manufacturing capabilities and is organised by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia and Rostec. A number of foreign investors and companies are registered to attend MAKS-2015 including Boeing and Rolls-Royce.
