Lavish Reynolds, the girlfriend of Philando Castile who was murdered by the police, was emotional as she joined protests outside the mansion of Minnesota governor Mark Dayton's house in Saint Paul on Thursday.
Black Lives Matter activists rallied outside his mansion, demanding justice for the fatal shooting of 32-year-old African-American Philando Castile at the hands of police. The governor was reportedly evacuated by helicopter from the premises.
Reynolds recorded the bloody aftermath of the shooting on her mobile phone and live-streamed it on Facebook, after police pulled the couple over for a broken taillight, with Reynolds' daughter seated in the backseat.
Castile, a cafeteria supervisor at a local school, succumbed to his injuries at Hennepin County Medical Center.
Castile's death came just one day after the killing of Alton Sterling, a 37-year-old African-American shot dead by two white police officers.
