Riot police sought to clear Paris's streets of protesters on Saturday night after Yellow Vests, environmentalists and opponents of pension reform rallied during the day.
A large police presence was visible around the Champs Elysees with tear gas fired at the last remaining demonstrators. Various people were reported injured.
Saturday's protests ended in heavy clashes, with more than 130 demonstrators arrested, according to French media. The police said more than 7,500 policemen brought in to maintain the order.
