USA: Suspect apprehended after workplace mass stabbing incident in Tallahassee

SOT, Damon Miller, Police officer: "Five people have been transferred to local hospital with injuries. We are not revealing the injuries due to things changing but TMA did put a release out earlier. It was originally reported that this happened at a Coca-Cola plant, Hart Street, it did not happen there it happened at Dyke Industries, 2110 Maryland Circle. We were able to get the suspect into custody. As of right now, I'm not aware of any injuries that he sustained."

This is an isolated incident, it is not connected in any shape or form to any events that took place this past weekend or with anything dealing with 9/11."

SOT, Ayana Jones, student: "So I found out about the stabbing when I was in class and my friend had leaned over to me and said: 'Oh my gosh, there is a stabbing and its in our area.' So not being from here, living somewhere else but coming here for school I just felt really scared and even it is on such an important day, on a very historical day such as 9/11, so I was really afraid and really scared to as what's going on. So that was my first reaction was just to like to grab my phone to get more familiar with what's going on, do I need to be concerned in anyway."

Five people were wounded in a knife attack at a west-side Tallahassee business on Wednesday, after a dispute led one employee to attack his co-workers.
According to media reports, the suspect was identified as 41 year-old Antwann D. Brown, an employee at Dyke Industries who is currently under the custody of local police.
"We are still trying to figure out the motive as to why he did this act. This is an isolated incident, it is not connected in any shape or form to any events that took place this past weekend or to 9/11." Damon Miller, a police officer said.
All victims of the stabbing attack have reportedly been taken to a local hospital where one of them remains in a critical condition.
