UK: Anti-Brexit protesters call for 'People's Vote' in Liverpool

SOT, Jack, protester: "Yeh, I agree with that. I'm a Labour Party member, Corbyn's made a big score by saying it's a people's party, bringing the power back to its people. As you probably know today, 86 percent of party members want us to have a people's vote, so our leader, get behind your party! It's time, we need a second referendum."
Protesters marched through Liverpool city centre on Sunday to show their opposition to the current state of the UK's Brexit negotiations and call for a referendum on any deal reached by the Tories.
The protest took place as the Labour Party hold their annual conference in the city. Demonstrators called on Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn to ensure a second vote once negotiations are over.
One protester said: "we're doing what little we can because we think Brexit's a ridiculous idea, I'm amazed the country's in this state."
"We're just doing what little we can to just sway the Labour Party to think again and support a 'people's vote,' and then we can support them into the next election."
Corbyn has said he'd prefer to have a general election, but would support a second EU referendum of some nature should his party members call for one at the conference.
