Protesters continued with their hunger strike outside Kiev's Verkhovna Rada, Thursday, after officials postponed talks regarding law 1558-1. The protesters are demanding the government supports the law, which focuses on restructuring obligations in regards to foreign currency-denominated government loans. Kachanova Irina, a protester and Kiev resident, explained how 11 protesters went on "hunger strike" resulting in one being "diagnosed with a hypersensitive crisis" after being rushed to hospital. Earlier in the day several dozen protesters managed to block the streets in front of the Rada in support of the 'loans law.' The group, who expect the law to improve their quality of life, were acting in support of the hunger strikers. Oleksandr Ivlev, leader of the so-called 'Civilian Bank Control' protest movement, earlier denounced Kiev for failing to improve the quality of life for the citizens of the country.
