SOT, Manuel Carmona Adrados, responsible for logistics at the IFEMA field hospital (Spanish): "We receive all the centralized material received from the purchases of the Madrid Ministry of Health, from the centralized purchase of INGESA's State and from different donations. All this merchandise is located, stored and distributed to more than fifty distribution points throughout the Community of Madrid among public, private and non-healthcare centers that also require individual protection equipment. And we also distribute to the two hospitalization pavilions, a total of 1,200 beds, which must be supplied with all this healthcare material."

What they have done is to push from the first moment, from the first worker to the last, but private companies, the Ministry of Health itself, all the workers. Those of us who are here are all volunteers from other health centres, plus the companies who at no time have asked how we are going to do it. It is the desire and willingness to work."

That virtual hug that we have to give ourselves at all times, that encouragement when you see a colleague who is no longer able, just by looking at us we pull forward and take the car to move or what has to be done, because that we do convey it from the heart and is what makes us every day move forward."

The logistics warehouse at a field hospital set up in Madrid's IFEMA exhibition site is working hard to fulfil demands during the COVID-19 outbreak, as footage recorded on Tuesday shows.
Pavilion 10 at the site has been dedicated to logistical management and the supply of medical equipment and protective gear to workers.
"All of us here are workers in the health system, we are used to working in healthcare and perhaps we can say that this is the opportunity we have always been waiting for, to be able to demonstrate all our capabilities to help others," explained Manuel Carmona Adrados, head of logistics at the IFEMA field hospital.
The 5,500-bed facility field hospital at the IFEMA fairgrounds opened on March 22.
According to Spain’s Ministry of Health, the disease has caused a total of 13,798 deaths in Spain since the beginning of the epidemic, and 140,510 positive cases have been recorded. There are currently 63,093 people hospitalised, 7,069 of them in intensive care, while 43,208 have been released from the hospital.
