The shelling follows three days after the city was declared "liberated" by the forces of ousted president Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi, who has formed a government in exile, currently based in Riyadh. Aden's airport and two of city's neighbourhoods were taken by forces loyal to Hadi on Tuesday, with Saudi-led coalition airstrikes supporting the attacks. However, a media spokesperson for the Houthis dismissed the claims that the city has been taken. Fighting is now raging in the al-Tawahi neighbourhood, where 15 Saudi-led airstrikes have purportedly struck, Sunday.
