According to Chinese statistics, in the first 11 months of this year, bilateral trade between China and Russia again exceeded 100 billion dollars, reaching 100.32 billion dollars, up 3.1 percent year on year. The Chinese Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) stated that China "will continue to expand imports" amid the foreign trade growth that the country has witnessed in the first 11 months of the year, during a weekly briefing in Beijing on Thursday.
MOFCOM Spokesperson Gao Feng said that his country has introduced "a series of policies and measures to expand imports, including lowering import tariffs and improving import trade facilitation," which he said "has played a positive role in promoting the recovery of imports."
Gao also noted that Russia "is China's 10th largest trading partner," with bilateral trade between the two countries "reaching 100.32 billion dollars, up 3.1 percent year on year."
"If the growth rate is maintained, bilateral trade is expected to hit a new record high of 110 billion dollars," added the MOFCOM spokesperson.
