Pulitzers Award Washington Post's Secret Service Reporting

The Pulitzer Prize Board on Monday awarded The Washington Post’s Carol D. Leonnig for her reporting on lapses at the U.S. Secret Service, despite significant scrutiny over those reports and pushback from the Obama administration. The annual prize for national reporting was awarded to Leonnig "for her smart, persistent coverage of the Secret Service, its security lapses and the ways in which the agency neglected its vital task: the protection of the President of the United States." Ten of Leonnig's reports were under consideration by the Pulitzer Board.
