"Today at 3:50 a.m. a Boeing 737-800 plane belonging to FlyDubai crashed while performing a secondary landing at the airport in Rostov-on-Don. The plane was en route from Dubai to Rostov-on-Don. According to preliminary information, on board there were 55 passengers and six crew members. Unfortunately, all those on board were killed. At the site [of the incident] fire and rescue units are operating, [as well as] the main department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in Rostov Region and the airmobile group of the Donskoy Rescue Centre and emergency services. The work of the operative services has been organised. The gathering of [the rescue] forces is planned, as is the means of rescue - a squad of 'Tsentrospas,' the Leader Centre [Centre for High Risk Rescue Operations of EMERCOM] and the North Caucasian Regional Center [of EMERCOM]. More than 700 people and 90 units of equipment are involved in dealing with the consequences."
Viktor Yatsutsenko, head of the National Crisis Management Centre of EMERCOM, addressed the current situation regarding the FlyDubai Boeing 737-800 crash, during a press briefing from Moscow on Saturday. He confirmed that all 55 passengers and six crew members were killed in the crash in Rostov-on-Don.

The Boeing 737-800 plane crashed due to poor visibility, reportedly landing 50 to 100 metres (164 to 328 feet) away from the runway.
Both Boeing and FlyDubai have said that they will launch immediate investigations into the crash.
