Russia: 'Night Wolves' protest German Embassy by erecting huge Soviet War memorial

Members of the Russian 'Night Wolves' motorcycle club erected an eight-metre-high (26 ft) replica of Berlin's Soldier-Liberator Soviet War memorial at the German Embassy in Moscow, Saturday, to protest the treatment of its club's members by German authorities during their V-Day rally through Europe. The Night Wolves set off on a 6,000-kilometre (3,728-mile) journey from Moscow to Berlin in April to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Soviet victory in World War II. Initially, it appeared the Night Wolves would not be able to enter Germany due to a travel ban imposed by the federal police. However, a Berlin court overruled the decision to ban the gang from entry on Wednesday, stating that insufficient evidence existed to justify that the bikers pose a threat to public order.
