17.02.2019
Thousands of protesters marched in Belgrade on Saturday, demanding the resignation of President Aleksandar Vucic and his government.
The organisers of the protest set up ballot boxes where citizens could sign and vote for the new social contract named 'Contract with the people'. The proposal denounces current state authorities and demands the formation of a new social and political order without corruption, bribery or censorship.
The protesters marched from Students Square to the Serbian Parliament, waving Serbian and EU flags, and chanting anti-Vucic slogans.
Opposition leaders Borko Stefanovic, Dragan Djilas, Bosko Obradovic and Vuk Jeremic were also seen among the protesters.
The movement began in early December after a opposition politician was beaten up.
