A March of Mothers rally was held in Moscow on Wednesday in support of two teenage girls arrested on suspicion of alleged membership of the New Greatness extremist group.
Around 200 protesters, many holding toys, marched through the city centre across Tverskoy Boulevard towards the Supreme Court building, chanting "freedom for political prisoners" in support of detained 18-year-old Anna Pavlikova and 19-year-old Maria Dubovik.
Members of New Greatness were arrested in March in Moscow accused of establishing an extremist organization. Four of them are currently under house arrest, six others, including Pavlikova and Dubovik, are in custody.
