Presenter (German): "I don't think it's about doing a good job but the fact that it's a very difficult situation, Madam Chancellor." Merkel (German): "I know it's a difficult situation. That's why I want to comfort her, because we don't wan't to bring all of you into such situations and because you are having a difficult time, because you've shown for a lot of other people what type of situation you can end up in ... And now ... Yeah, we had a meaningful conversation about that and unfortunately she's not the only one who is in such a situation." A Palestinian girl who is close to being deported from Germany broke down in tears when German Chancellor Angela Merkel told her that "some [refugees] will have to go back," at a school in Rostock, Wednesday. The young girl, Reem, confronted Merkel, saying that "others are really able to enjoy their lives and you yourself can't enjoy it with them." Her father can't work on the temporary residency permit he has been issued, which means she will likely not be able to continue studying in Germany as she would like. Merkel then answered that "politics is sometimes hard" and that there are thousands of others in refugee camps. "We just can't manage" to let everyone come to Germany, she said. "Some will have to go back."
