USA: Transportation Safety Board updates press on train crash investigation

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) authorities gave updates on the ongoing investigation into the train crash at Hoboken station, near the scene of the incident, Friday.
According to NTSB Vice Chairman Bella Dinh-Zarr the investigation has been progressing after a full day of their work at the scene. Several parties have been involved in conducting this complex investigation, including the Federal Railroad Administration, the New Jersey Transit, the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen and others.
Dinh-Zarr also reported that the NTSB had taken toxicology tests on the engineer who was operating the train at the time of the crash, "Our human performance group is examining documentation regarding crew member qualifications, training, scheduling, health and any activities at the time of the accident and during the 72 hours prior to this accident. We have obtained blood and urine samples from the engineer."
